Delp Saves His Best for Last at UAA Finals
Emmett Delp didn't need six games to make his mark at the UAA Finals in Louisville. He needed one. KC Run GMC 16U arrived at one of the premier evaluation events on the Under Armour circuit and went 4–2 across a demanding schedule that included Top Shot, SOH Elite, Arizona Select, and Team Thrill — programs that bring legitimate Division I prospects to the floor. The competition was real, and so was the moment Delp saved for the final day.
On Sunday against Arizona Select, with college coaches lining the sidelines for the closing round of the event, Delp put together his best performance of the tournament — 12 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. He was physical on the glass, efficient when he got to his spots, and composed in the moments that mattered. KC Run GMC won 71–63. It capped a weekend that built in exactly the right direction. After a quiet start to the event, Delp found his footing Saturday against Elevate — 8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists in a 70–63 win — then elevated again Sunday when the lights were brightest. Over the course of the six-game run, Delp finished with 25 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals as KC Run GMC closed the UAA Finals on a three-game winning streak.
